In-Kind Contributors

In 2017, the Hollywood Theatre launched a Kickstarter campaign to save the legendary Portland video store Movie Madness. #SaveMovieMadness went viral, raising over $436,000 from 4,608 donors. Thanks to our community's incredible generosity, Movie Madness - with its archive of over 80,000 titles and an exceptional collection of movie memorabilia - will live on.

The campaign's remarkable success allowed us to expand our scope and dream big. So we set out to build a community screening room to help Movie Madness operate sustainably far into the future. The screening room (now known as the Movie Madness Miniplex) features state-of-the-art laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound, and is home to Movie Madness University, our film appreciation program, as well as other special events and community partnerships.

Our sincere thanks to our valued In-Kind Contributors. Their dedication and expertise helped make the Screening Room a reality.
