Greener Grass

GREENER GRASS (2019, 101 min) is a nightmarish fever dream set in a picturesque suburban town. Jealous soccer moms drive golf carts and wear braces as they exchange backhanded compliments (and awkward kisses). A comedy that horrifies, this film will make your skin crawl while you laugh in discomfort.

In this class, we’ll explore the often blurred line between comedy and horror, and how each genre functions within this film to satirize contemporary suburbia 

This class will be taught by MMU instructor Satchel Stinson, whose previous classes include Twentieth Century Trauma: Post-Cold War Eastern European Films.

Class size will be limited to 18.
