Miniplex Rental Policies
The Movie Madness Miniplex is available for private screening events when it is not in use for Movie Madness programming.
Private screening events must be consistent with our mission to entertain, inspire, educate and connect the community through the art of film. Ceremonial events such as weddings, funerals, wakes, graduations, or religious services, and live musical performances are not permitted. Movie Madness management reserves full discretion to permit or deny access in order to further the organization’s mission, but permission to use the screening room does not constitute an endorsement by Movie Madness of programming or points of view expressed during a private event.
Violating any of the rules below may result in the termination of your membership without refund.
Those interested in renting the Miniplex must agree with the following terms and conditions:
Events may be monitored by Movie Madness staff.

No smoking
No pets; service animals only
Food & Drink: Guests are permitted to bring outside food. However, no outside drinks, including alcohol, are permitted on the premises. Bringing in outside alcohol or providing alcohol to minors will result in immediate, non-refundable cancellation of your event, and expulsion from the premises as well as a termination of your membership.
Set-up and Clean-up: All guests must check with Movie Madness concerning furniture and equipment available. When an event is over, guests must return furniture to its original location and remove any food or other trash. Trash containers will be provided.
Cancellation policy: Full refund with at least two weeks’ notice; 50% with at least 48 hours notice. No refund will be offered if event is cancelled within 48 hours of event date. If Movie Madness has to cancel an event for any reason other than guests’ violation of these policies, it will offer a full refund or priority re-booking.
Publicizing your rental: You cannot publicize your screening in any way, including on social media, Facebook events, etc. If your screening is publicized, it will be cancelled without refund. We recommend using a private email list to invite your guests.
Damages, Release and Indemnity: Renters will be responsible for the conduct of their guests and responsible for any damage to guests’ personal property as well as to the screening room that occurs during the rental.
Renters and their guests waive and release Film Action Oregon dba Hollywood Theatre and Movie Madness and their officers, directors, agents, employees and volunteers (collectively, “FAO Parties”) from any and all claims or causes of action for injury, damage or loss to person or property during their participation in a screening event.
Renters and their guests further agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend FAO Parties from any and all losses, claims, or causes of action for injury, damage or loss in any way relating to or arising from any incident occurring during a screening event. This waiver and release is intended to be an express waiver of and release from any and all claims against FAO Parties arising from the event, including all claims or causes of action based upon the alleged negligence or gross negligence of FAO Parties.
